Smoking is bad, and it’s bad for both man and woman alike. But always an eyebrow rose on female smoke because smoking not only can cause various diseases such as lung cancer, breast cancer, bronchitis, etc. but also affect reproduction system and fertility.

Many women take smoking as a style statement whereas others use it to release stress, tension and frustration. Whatever the reason is, it is injurious to health and hence, both man and woman should quit this life-taking habit immediately.

Tips on quitting smoking fast and forever
Don’t make any promise in a hurry. Make a proper plan to quit. Inform your friends and family that you want to quit this habit and takes their help. Know all the problems and challenges you’ll face in your journey and how you are going to overcome them. Don’t be so fast as you cannot stop smoking in a day completely. Remember, it will take time.
• First off, cut down the number of cigarettes you smoke in a day
• Try to inhale the smoke less
• Create some gap between the times of smoking

1. Quit Smoking in a planned way

Once you made you mind, first step is – set a date and day. During that week, perform the following activities-
  • Start to exercise on a daily basis.
  • Find non-smoking friends to support
  • Take slow and deep breaths to relax
  • Find out the times you want to smoke
  • Reduce the cigarette count and take it one at a time

2. Avoid the smoking triggers

There are some specific situations when you smoke mostly. These are the triggers, so make a plan that you won’t smoke when you’re-
  • Hungry
  • Angry
  • Lonely
  • Tired

3: Find ways to cope and spend time without a cigarette
  • Drink plenty water and fruit juices to flush out the nicotine from your body.
  • Eat protein-rich meal such as fruits, vegetables whole grains. Avoid foods with sugar or fat.
  • Take a break and relax whenever you’ve a strong urge to smoke. Every urge lasts for three to five minutes, so do something to divert your attention.
  • Keep reminding yourself about all the things you hate about smoking.
  • Motivate and appreciate yourself. Think how well you’re controlling your urge.
  • Notice the healthy changes occur as a result of quitting smoking.
  • Speak up when you’re angry. Don’t let your mood be a reason to smoke.

Quitting smoking is a challenging task, and it is observed that most of the people again start smoking within three months. Better, start quitting gradually and ultimately achieve your goal.
